Alan Parsons once bet guitarist Ian Bairnson that “Eye in the Sky” would be a flop — a bet he lost when the song became a huge hit, leading Bairnson to frame the check as a joke. The song was inspired by surveillance systems and the idea of “Big Brother,” and the album made history as APP’s first digitally mastered release, featuring early use of the Fairlight CMI synthesizer.

For this cover, I wanted to go a step further and reinterpret the song from a perspective of female empowerment. To me, the lyrics speak about awareness, emotional intelligence, and the ability to see situations clearly — qualities that strongly connect with inner strength and self-confidence.
By creating a more spacious and cinematic arrangement, my intention was to emphasize independence, control, and emotional clarity. This version is not about dominance, but about self-awareness and empowerment — owning one’s voice, emotions, and decisions.
This cover reflects observation, confidence, and the quiet strength that comes from truly knowing yourself.
